This site contains a collection of pictures made during a ten day holiday
in South Africa. We saw a pack of 11 wild dogs, leopards mating in Elephant Plains and a leopard making a kill on a nightdrive in Kruger. The latter was probably helped a bit by our lights. Birds were plentifull although not always in prime position for us. As you can see in the birds section some of the birds were presenting themselves very well, probably to make up for the others. All pictures were made using a Canon EOS 300 with an EF 100-400 f4.5-5.6L IS USM lens (with a Canon 1.4 TC where needed) for the long shots, and a Canon 28-90 f4.5-5.6 lens for the close shots. Film was Fuji Realla 100 and Fuji NPH 400 for darker situations. Keep in mind that the pictures you see on this site have been shrunken in size and quality, the actual pictures are of far better quality. The use of these pictures, commercial or non-commercial is forbidden unless you have written permission from me.
